Patty is an Emmy award-winning filmmaker. She's drawn to stories that transcend stereotypes and reveal our shared humanity. The mission of her films is to change hearts and minds by inviting audiences to connect, reflect, laugh, and ultimately see themselves in the stories of others. Her films are known for their heart, candor and humor.
She is the writer, producer and director of the Emmy-winning docu, Baring It All, the SBS and PBS commissioned docus, Walk Like a Man & Blind Love, respectively, and the Magnolia docu, Charm City for the network's popular anthology series, In With The Old.
In addition to her documentary work, Patty is an Executive Producer in unscripted television. She’s been part of the creative producing teams on top-rated shows for Netflix, MTV, VH1, WETV, BET, and Discovery.
Prior to moving into non-fiction, Patty worked on numerous independent feature films as a line producer, and producer of physical production. She was the lead producer the romantic-comedy feature A Tale of Two Pizzas, and on two award-winning short films, Broken & the Oscar qualifying short, Border.
Beyond her professional work, Patty’s a runner guide for achilles athletes, and serves as a Producers Guild of America mentor. She has served on the Producers Guild’s First Look Documentary Committee, and has mentored LGBTQ+ youth at The Center in NYC.
